that That
that That that song that keeps playing in my head that retort I wish I never said that money I wasted on a dress that time you asked but I did not say yes that photo I never got to take that mistep I refused to make that jealousy I fought so hard to erase that that creeps into a deeper place that longing I cannot control that rant when I'm on a roll that day I gave up to work instead of play that day I gave into shadow's way that I know I'll do it all again that unruly energy I now call friend that chaos is another path taken that that leads to gifts starting to awaken that I can now face the pain that unruly energy called passion stands to gain that we so often mislabel what is truly in our hearts that is that sum of all its wondrous parts ag ~ 2012

Thank you. I do not know why Blogger is creating only run-on sentences for any post I try to post. This is very annoying and tedious.
I will be switching over to wordpress entirely in the near future. I apologize for this ignorance.

The moment chooses us.
July is being her sassypants self with this heat.
Somehow I no longer mind. I've made my peace with the weather.
Actually, I was on the bay side of the barrier island in hurricane force winds last week and the most intense squall I have ever experienced yet. I actually challenged the lightning to strike. There was quite a show in the room upstairs with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the bay and the house shaking. Thunder booming. Water broke over the bulkhead in waves, and it was like being on a ship at sea in a storm. I was alone upstairs, and I fully understood the fury of the storm. I was grateful for this too.

Young ones
Saw a fox cub and a young adult black bear today.
The cub raced away tail blazing like the remnants of a shooting star.
The bear, on the other hand, lumbered across my lawn, grazed on some shrubs and sat outside the locked gate to the nursery. It looked puzzled - like it was wondering why it was not open. I guess it forgot that the nursery is closed on Sundays.

A Modern Day Fairy Blog Tale
Each line below is/was the actual name of a blog originating mostly on Tumblr. All of them represent the creative muse at work. I was inspired to string them together to present this modern-day-fairy-blog. Imagination and a sense of delight is all that is needed to join me in this whimsical tour of human nature!
start handing out stars
your average ordinary hero
you were charming last night
go away come back
moods of the moon
some blonde
life over does
casseroles and cleavage
writing on the walls
bagels are the new donuts
hippies were right
reality killed the dream
and she down by the river
yeah-you-came-to-mind
brown dress with white polka dots
under the same sofa
everything you ask me
i just might
but it feels like forever
call me crazy - love
no perfect day for banana fish
wild storms
gravity sex
night tattoo
rainbow fizzy hooker
whiskey soaked
that was me seducing you
grace and sweet tea
almost touched the sky
~ ~ ~
These are but a few of the colorful and reflective names that ordinary souls call on to speak to us in the virtual world.
new moon

New moon solar eclipse
Blame it on the new moon and solar eclipse!
I was led astray again. The Sunday morning sun came streaming in the kitchen window through the blinds and I ran for my camera before I got dressed, brushed my teeth and greeted the dog. The striations of light were just too radiant for me to ignore. My enthusiasm quickly evaporated for my planned chore of switching from winter to summer clothes which I have to crawl in the attic to retrieve and store. Also, I will have to bake muffins at another junction.
The refracted light reminds me of beach shells and nature's own web of spirals. It's really all about light and color and skipping the boring stuff to follow your passion now. Tomorrow however, I'll be sweating in long sleeves and jeans! All in the name of ART.

Instead - this is what appeared before my happy eyes:
Yes - I did run around the house collecting pieces to reflect the light.

Artwalk
Today was the quintessential lovely spring day. Wonderful for a stroll through town and delightful for admiring the work of artists splashed along Morristown's sidewalks and alleys. Also on display were the onlookers colorfully attired with and without hats. I couldn't stop smiling!

Rest Stop Rejuvenate
Last night I attended a delightful "Open Mic" session at a local alternative gathering spot as comfy and cozy as my own living room.
Alternative because the musicians, songwriters and poets are us.
Alternative because the room is set up with couches, pillows and stools in such a way as to promote intimate conversation as well as space for tuning guitars, helping yourself to a cup of tea or wide circles of laughter.
Alternative because local hard-working souls by day can get together once a month and sing, strum or drum their hearts out to original or favorite songs.
Alternative because everyone is supported, encouraged and inspired to "sing or play" out loud or not. Especially charming young "musicians-in-training".
Rest Stop Rejuvenate is community-based space and mind-set where the concepts of gathering and sharing are realized. Vicky Mulligan is the heart and soul and hard-working spirit who birthed and nursed this truly joyful physical and emotional place that I for one have been searching for in a lifetime.
Please visit online: http://www.reststoprejuvenate.com
Vicky is available and willing to share her concept and more.

Flora and fauna on a Sunday stroll
distant haze
through timber and swamp
my rebellious soul
takes a romp
the wash still to do
and bills to pay
what the hell
does it all matter
anyway?
