puppy superbowl
my dog rushes
the tv screen

a chirp from the pine lavender twilight snow

basement spider

after washing clothes

our separate lives

wings spread

a red-tailed hawk returns

where it knows the sky

leaky roof

my attic mouse

moves out

February 1st begins National Haiku Writers' Month appropriately the shortest month of the year for the shortest form of poetry. I am writing one haiku per day this month although I may not be able to post daily in which case I will double up. Here goes:
